BookCrossing 圖書漂流

BookCrossing is defined as "the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise." The term is derived1 from bookcrossing.com, a free online book club which was founded to encourage the practice, aiming to "make the whole world a library." “圖書漂流”指的是“將一本書留在公共場所，等待其他人撿走閱讀，撿走書的人讀后也會照做”。這種說法來源于bookcrossing.com網站，這是一個免費的網上讀書俱樂部，建立的目的就在于鼓勵這種行為，旨在“將全世界變成一個圖書館”。   The 'crossing' or exchanging of books may take any of a number of forms, including wild-releasing books in public, or direct swaps2 with other members of the websites. The community aspect of BookCrossing.com has grown and expanded in ways that were not expected at the outset, in the form of blog or forum3 discussions, mailing lists and annual conventions throughout the world.  圖書的“漂流”與交換有多種形式，包括將圖書隨意留存在公共場所，或者與網站讀者直接交換圖書，等等。BookCrossing.com網站的社區(qū)層面的意義不斷發(fā)展，這是網站建立之初人們沒有想到的，比如博客或論壇討論，郵件列表以及遍布全球的年度會議。
